Computer/ logistics:
We will have a printer/scanner, tied to a dedicated laptop. You can print from a USB-stick (not wireless).

Please bring your presentation on a USB-stick; the meeting rooms have a ceiling mounted projector, but it will be easiest to use one computer only for presentations.

The meeting rooms will have wireless internet access.

Meals during the event: We have arranged for breakfast, lunch & coffee during both days at the center;

Thursday Dinner: Thursday evening we’ll have dinner at the Buckhorn Steak and Roadhouse. Dinner is order-from-the-menu-and-pay-your-own. We will have a nice room to ourselves. Before dinner there’ll be wine tasting at Beryessa Gap. Both places are in nearby Winters, CA, and we’ll get there by bus. Pickup will be at 6:30 at the hotel.

Hotel: Hallmark Inn at 110 F Street, Davis, CA 95616 (530-753-3600, 758-7421(fax)). Please make your reservations directly with the hotel; you will be financially responsible for your own room.

Wednesday Dec 9 evening:
For those staying at the Hallmark Inn: Our department outreach coordinator, Pia van Benthem will meet you at 7pm in the hotel lobby to greet you, welcome you to Davis, and make dinner suggestions if you’re interested.

Airports & rides:

UCDavis is only 20 minutes or so away from Sacramento Int'l airport (SMF) - if you're just coming for the workshop I would recommend this airport to avoid the whole Bay Area.  If you're coming for both the workshop and AGU you might want to look into arriving at SMF and leaving from San Francisco (SFO).  Oakland (OAK) is also an option...

For your arrival on Wednesday night:  Apart from the national chains we have some local options for shuttles: http://www.davisairporter.com, http://www.shuttlecalifornia.com/, or express buses http://www.yolobus.com/m3.html, and then there's always Amtrak http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServerpagename=Amtrak/Page/Browse_Routes_Page&c=Page&cid=1081256321425&ssid=132 or BART (only in Bay Area, not to Davis) http://www.bart.gov

Attendence: If you still haven’t done so - please let me know if you're coming. Please go to http://www.doodle.com/nx6fh68etd8wxt4t and fill out the little form. Please be so kind to include your affiliation.
